So glad you're with us for the Wednesday edition of the three martini lunch.

And Jim, it seems like every Wednesday we're reacting now to what happened on a pretty

important primary night. Last week, it was Thomas Massey in Kentucky. Earlier in the year,

there were other states happening, of course, and last night was the runoff in Texas. We

kind of knew what the result would be. The polls had already been leading to Ken Paxton over

John Cornyn, but President Trump's

endorsement last week made that lead decisive. And last night, as of last count, Ken Paxton

wins easily, 63.8% to 36.2% for John Cornyn. He now goes up against James Tala Rico in the Senate General election down there

in Texas. I'm sure there's some bad blood that needs to be to be mended there. Real quick

clips here across the board. First of all, we've got Ken Paxton, noting how important that

Trump endorsement was. And then there's one person who I think you might know,

President Donald J. Trump.

When everyone in Washington told him to abandon me and abandoned the people of Texas, he didn't listen.

Instead, he gave his complete and total endorsement.

President Trump is the leader of our party and his endorsement in this most power,

is the most powerful force in politics.

Well, it certainly carries a lot of weight.

There's no question about that.
