Welcome to the last call of the week for the three martini lunch.

This is our new weekly recap of the biggest stories of the week, some good, some bad, and certainly

some crazy from this week's episodes. Today, you'll hear our discussions about Democrats

around him. Also, the fall and fallout of Homeland Security Secretary Christy Noam,

a semi-famous figure crashes and burns in a Texas congressional primary. But we begin where

the week began, the amazing execution by the U.S. military in Operation

Epic Fury against Iran. On Friday of last week, it felt like war was imminent. By Monday, Iran's top

leader and dozens of others were dead, and the U.S. and Israel were dominating combat.

Last year, Jim was away for the bombing of the Iranian nuclear program, but he was

definitely here this time. Jim, this time you weren't on vacation when the United States and

Israel go after Iran, midnight hammer last June, today, and this weekend, it's Operation

Epic Fury. Could last several days, could last a few weeks, depending on how things go.

But this unleashed in the early morning hours over there on Saturday, just after midnight Saturday, Eastern Time.

And apparently the Iranian leadership thought that we wouldn't attack in broad daylight.

They were dead wrong, literally.
