The ability to attach is how our species thrive.

We are a social species and we managed to thrive in very, very formidable

environments that killed off direct competitors,

Croib Magnons, etc.

That overlapped with us specifically

because of our unique ability to emotionally

co-regulate trauma we've been through or

emotionally wounding event.

And we can also create the conditions under which we can safely explore, we can be collaborative together as a species,

we can take turns watching each other's backs, sharing resources.

And we are all born, of course, years prematurely in terms of when we are unlike other species we take far more than a decade before

we can survive on our own and that's an exceedingly long period of time we depend

on others for survival.

So our ability to attach to others,

to matter in the minds of another,

to be seen in the eyes of another,

is the most important consideration and that's why all the

circuits in the brain that help with attachment are the first that go online.
