I want to thank you for joining me today for this very special edition of enjoying the journey

and just really an informal conversation. Normally, we don't even have an episode on a Saturday,

but I want to talk with you just a little bit about some things God is doing in my own life

and some things that I'm very excited about making available to you.

Over the last few days, we took a brief step away from our study in the Psalms.

We're going back to that on Monday, and so I hope you'll plan to join us and encourage others to join us on that journey through this most encouraging book of the Bible.

But I have had a deep burden on my heart for the last several weeks for the matter of real revival in our day. I so long to see God move and work in our nation and in our generation.

And I think we all understand this is what we desperately need. And yet I've been so convicted

that it is not first a national revival. It is first always a personal

revival. It begins in us. It begins in me. And so personally, God has really been speaking to me

about some things, dealing with me, increasing my faith, showing me areas of my life that need

to be dealt with, and very

specifically dealing with me about the matter of prayer. I've had a numbers of people ask me through

the years, do you actually believe revival's possible in our day? The answer to that is absolutely yes,

because what I believe about revival is rooted in what I believe about God.

So my theology is what informs my thoughts on revival in our day.

The Lord Jesus said, with God, all things are possible.

God's able to do more in a moment than we could in a lifetime.

And the real problem is not with his lack of power,

it's with our lack of preparation. Now, you can't manufacture revival, you can't manipulate
