Our guys today we got a special guest on the podcast. His name is Tom Rainer. So he is an

author, church consultant and former pastor and the founder and CEO of church answers. So church

answers is an online community and resource for church leaders. And prior to founding church

answers, Rainer served as president and CEO of lifeway Christian resources, which most of you

are familiar with. And before going to lifeway, he served at the Southern Baptist Theological

Seminary for 12 years where he was the founding dean of the Billy Graham School of Missions

and Evangelism. He is a 1977 graduate of the University of Alabama and earned his masters

of divinity and PhD degrees from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. And he's

also written three number one bestselling books. So those are I am a church member autopsy of

a deceased church and simple church. And he's also the author of the brand new book, which

is out now called I am a Christian, discovering what it means to follow Jesus together with

fellow believers. And you know, I really enjoyed my time with him today. He's also the host

of the Rainer on Leadership, Late Rainer on Leadership podcast. There nailed it. Guys, all

that will be in the show notes. But I really enjoyed my time with him today because you know,

we weaved into all these other different subject matters. You know, I talked to him about,

you know, how did you become a church consultant? Because I don't know that I've ever specifically

talked to one of those. I really liked his answer to that. But we looked at some trends

while he was running this consulting firm for about 15 years about, you know, what

did healthy churches do during that time period? We also looked at what were the churches

where the men were flourishing, right? So it's men's ministry versus man friendly churches.
