Hey everyone, hope you're all hanging in there. This month marks the seventh anniversary of the

Gender Reveal podcast, and if you've listened to even a handful of episodes, you'll know that we

end every single interview with the same question. In your ideal world, what would the future

of gender look like? The very first time we asked this question on the podcast, it spun into this whole long

conversation between me and our guest, Nicholas.

And at some point in that conversation, Nicholas said something that I still think about

all the time to this day.

It is perpetually relevant.

We were talking about the phrase women and non-binary people.

And Nicholas said this.

I think what these people are really after

is they're saying we want women and people who I think are women. Women and people I think are

women is honestly such a banger. I reference it all the time. And then over the years, I have asked

close to 200 people the same question, what would your ideal future of gender look like?

And people are still figuring out ways to put up bangers.

For example, this is what I admittedly goaded Sunday Zimmerman into saying on gender conceal just last month.

Part of coming out for gender nonconforming people should be to create a historical play.

That's it.
