We've grown accustomed to hearing this from the Christian pulpit.

A pastor will say, well, the Greek word for this is, and then he'll explain what the word is and what it means.

I think most of the time that's done. The practitioner says, I don't know if what they're telling me is true or false.

I don't know Greek, and it may not be entirely relevant.

Well, what if an evangelical pastor does it who doesn't know Greek?

How far afield can he go?

Today we'll be talking about V1 Church Pastor Mike Signorelli preaching on Romans 12.2. Pastor Chris Rosebro joins us. He's pastor of Kong, Svinger Lutheran Church, in Oslo, Minnesota, and creator and host of the YouTube channel Fighting for the Faith. Chris, welcome back.

Thanks for having me back, Ted.

First of all, let's just deal with the church's name, V1 Church. That's in decipherable.

It means nothing. How do these evangelical congregations come up with these names for their church?

Do they call in a marketing team? Do they say, let's just choose a random letter and number?

How do they do that? Yeah, so sometimes they will absolutely use a marketing team.

Other times, it's just based upon the vision of the guy who's planting the church.

In this particular case, Mike Signorelli, he's the one who's planted this church, and he

decided to call it V1.

I was kind of bummed because, you know, I felt like he missed an opportunity to have a V8.
