This time I think my main goal was being healthy. It wasn't losing the weight and getting into

smaller clothes. That was actually number three, but number one was health and then vitality.

joined by a very special guest. Her name is Susan and she is going to talk to us today

about her personal transformation. Susan, welcome to the podcast. How are you? Hi, I'm very well. Thank you. How are you?

I am well. I am so glad that you could join me today so that everyone can learn about your story.

So first of all, let's just get into it. What brought you originally to the fasting method?

Well, I have tended to be overweight for most of my adult life.

And at least six times now, I've lost a significant amount of weight, probably from 40 to 70 pounds.

And each time, I've gained it back.

I've always known that I felt better when I don't eat carbs, but they taste good, so I tend to eat them.

And then in about 22, I found the fasting method on Facebook and started following it.

And I joined the community and read many of the books that are talked about, if not all of them,

and listened to many, if not all, the podcasts.

I ended up hiring a coach and I learned a lot from her, like a lot.

But I honestly had problems sticking with the fasting. And then in the fall of

2004, I found Heather. She just seemed so genuine, honest, and no nonsense. And I really liked

your smile. And one of the first things I remember you saying was, girl, you're never going to be

able to eat like you used to. Do you remember? I don't know, maybe you say that lots. I don't know,

but you know what? I believe it. You can't because in all those six times that I lost the weight

before, I couldn't wait to start eating again, you know, and I believe that

it's not possible. And yeah, that just really struck home with me. So Heather's now been my coach
