So today we're talking with Gabe De Silva.

How you doing today, Gabe?

Fantastic, man. Happy to be here. Good. Well, glad to have you. So we haven't talked about

this topic in a while in the show, but I really wanted to come back to it because the real estate

market's hot. And there's a lot of people in that space trying to, you know, fix and flip properties.

And I know this is one of Gabe's specialties. So,

Gabe, tell us a little bit about your background and how you got started investing in real estate.

In a past life, I was in the corporate finance world, held a bunch of different jobs and

roles in corporate finance and in financial services as well for about a

decade after undergrad, I did that, kept getting let go. And in about 708, with that last

string of layoffs, I said, I need to be a master of my own destiny. I need to control my own

future. And so I forayed into entrepreneurship. And so

that's a decade-long journey itself now, just hit my 10-year mark as an entrepreneur. And

that's looked different as well. It's looked diverse as well. It's food service. It was consulting.

And most recently, it's real estate that's been the last six years. So I'm a business guy. I love the business of business

and I don't particularly care what the vehicle is. It could be widgets. It could be freaking

aluminum cans. It could be real estate. With regard to real estate, though, I genuinely do believe
