Life is so full of ups and downs, hopes, disappointments, relationships gained, relationships lost,

that it's so normal for us as humans to wonder, what are we living for? What's the meaning in this life?

What is my purpose?

In a moment, I'm going to read a scripture that addresses this concern.

But let's start with taking three deep breaths, and as we do,

forget about your cares and concerns the day that will be or the day that was let it go focusing on

these moments let's breathe together roman 6 verses 10 and 11 tells us that since Jesus died and rose again,

he now continually lives for God's pleasure.

So let it be the same way with you.

See yourselves as dead to sin while living daily for God's pleasure in union with Jesus.

The purpose of this life is to live for God's pleasure. And when we know that God is pleased with us, we find purpose and meaning in every moment of life.

Take a moment right now and tell God what you think about that concept and what living for his pleasure looks like.

Yeah. what living for his pleasure looks like. Now close your eyes and picture Russian nesting dolls.

These beautiful dolls when you look at them you just see one, but you realize inside is a smaller one and inside that is another one and inside that is another one.

And you only see one, but there is an entire collection of beautiful hand-painted dolls within this one.

In that same way that the other dolls are hidden in the big doll,

the Bible tells us that as followers of Jesus, our lives are

hidden in Jesus. It means that our lives are literally tucked and trapped and held on the inside of who

the person of Jesus is. And because God the Father is pleased with Jesus,

and Jesus is daily living for God's pleasure.

It means that automatically, since we are hidden in Jesus,

that because God is pleased with Jesus,
