Hi Dave, I'm inspired by you and have let my health get down by not exercising.

I will be starting tomorrow morning and I don't care if people stare at me.

I'm a little self-conscious about the way I look.

I want to tell you a story.

It's probably happened 15, maybe 16 years ago when I was still a runner.

Every afternoon I would go out for a three-mile run, and I would drive to a park that was about a mile from where we lived, and the park had a paved trail that went through the woods

and was actually measured at one mile.

So I would go there and run that loop three times for three miles.

When I was running, there was a young man who was walking on this trail.

And I don't know, his full story.

He was a big guy, probably obese, probably could be defined as obese.

And his pace, his walking pace was very slow.

And I would pass him a bunch of times as I'm doing this three-mile loop.

And you know what I thought every time I passed him? It wasn't pity, not even close.

It was this feeling of humility.

Because what he was doing was much harder than what I was doing.

Again, I don't know his story, but he was a big guy.
