The Michael Berry show it's all about the slate. It's all about the endorsement list because most voters other than Trump or Biden the top of the ticket

When you see the drop-off is when you see the drop-off from Trump

and there's a slight drop-off to Ted Cruz

then from there the drop-off is dramatic.

People don't know who their state rep is.

They don't know what the Court of Criminal Appeals is.

They don't know, most of these seats,

they don't know who these people are.

There's just too many of them.

And the elections are too often.

And so having a slate of candidates that is issued by someone who is respected or an organization

is well funded can win or lose an election, much more so than the

candidate themselves.

I give a great example.

Court of Criminal Appeals.

I've told you before, just so you understand, in Texas, unlike the federal government,

we have a bifurcated state appellate court. We have the State Supreme Court, which is just like the US Supreme Court, but for state cases.

But they only hear civil cases.

And then we have the highest court, the Court of last resort, for criminal cases, which is called the Court of Criminal Appeals.

I clerked there when I was in law school.

Fascinating place.

And I used to enjoy going into a particular room that was freezing cold.
