But today we're in week three.

And so we're going to start in First, Second Kings, First and That Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, Esther, and Job.

So excited to talk with our guest today. Here with us in the studio is Ashley Gorman. Ashley serves as a

senior acquisitions editor at B&H Publishing Group. She holds a Masters of Divinity from South Eastern

Theological Seminary.

Hi, guys. I'm so happy to be back. I still think about our conversation from last fall when we talked about John. Oh my goodness. The end of John. That was an amazing conversation. I also have had those moments where I've thought about it. And I'm like, I think we talked about the identities of Jesus and that, all the things that it was exposing. I was like, I don't even think I went into the high priest, like him as high priest as one of these.

I did intercessor, and I was like, I miss high priest, and that's all of John 17, you know, those moments you're like, I could have said five more things. And that's the thing. When we limit ourselves to an hour.

Like, one of the things that still sticks with me, and this was, I wasn't planning to talk about this right now, but one of the things that still sticks with me is when you talked about,

like, the stone that Jesus was laid on. Oh, the mercy seat. The mercy seat. And like the two angels, and you're like, where have we seen this before? And I was like, the Old Testament. Exodus. Yeah. And like, I will meet you on the mercy seat. And so y'all listening, if you haven't listened to the episode, it's, I think, our last episode of John from last fall. to, like, have you come back in Old Testament context. We're doing kind of that high-level

thing where we're not going through John, but we're going to cover a brief eight books of the
