Jenny is a Bible teacher and author, a podcast host.

She is many things.

You may know her as the founder of it gatheringathering or Gather 25. The important thing to

know is that Jenny has devoted her life to disciple a generation to see revival across the globe.

What a thing to devote your life to. Praise the Lord. She's written along the way, three New York

Times bestsellers. Her latest book released in March, it's called The Lie

You Don't Know You Believe. And we're just so grateful that Jenny joined us for this conversation

about these books of the Old Testament. Let's get right to it. Jenny Allen, welcome back to

the She reads Truth podcast. What a delightful day, guys, to hang out with both of you and talk about

the Bible and Jesus. I want to share one of my first memories of podcasting, and specifically

with you as a guest, you may or may not remember this. So we were, this was 2020. Yeah. It was Ephesians.

Yeah. And Amanda and I were so brand new to podcasting at this time because we were, like, not even a year in. And we were just not sure what our vibe was or whatever that is. Like we were like, okay, so we're in Ephesians and like, here comes some challenging chapters because Paul. And we kind of, I remember being like, Ann, let's turn the page and move to the next thing. And you were like, no, ma'am.

Oh, I did. You, like, stopped as immediately. You're like, we're going back. You just skipped a whole hard passage. Okay. And you, like, big sister shepherded us through it in such a, like, generous way in a way that we weren't yet ready to do. Wow. Because we were just so new to it.

Like, we didn't know how to handle it. And so we just turned the page.

Like, it's, like, such a, like, a memory for me of being an early podcast host. I love that. That makes me happy. Well, I hope it makes me happy.
