As we begin, find a quiet place and take a deep breath as we enter into God's presence.

Today's reading is Revelation 21, verses 3 through 5.

And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, look, God's dwelling place is now among the people,

and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.

He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain.

For the old order of things has passed away. He who was seated on the throne said,

I am making everything new.

Then he said, write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.

Let's begin by reciting God's goodness, praising him for who he is and what he has done.

Oh God, as we read this passage, our souls just come alive with the hope of what is to come.

That you, God, are the one who is making all things new.

That you're not just going to scrap creation and start

over, that you don't just give up on what is broken, but that you renew all things, that your

dwelling place will be with us, the fulfillment of a promise that started in Genesis,

that you will once again dwell with us and we will see you face to face.

Oh, what a glorious day that will be. Thank you, God, that death and disease and sickness and grief

will not last forever because there is a day coming when you will wipe away every tear and when you will

bring to life and renew your creation. But most of all, thank you, God, that your dwelling place will

be with us, that we will get to see you face to face. What a glorious day that will be. Just take a few moments and tell God,

how is he showing his goodness in this passage? What is resonating with your spirit? What is making

you excited for what is to come?
