Hello there I'm Chuck Todd and this is the Chuck Todd cast. We are heading into a

difficult summer for President Biden and that's if everything goes well for him.

A recession looms on the horizon.

Mass shootings are happening across America both the parties still comfortable criticizing

him for the current border crisis and Title 42 hasn't practically

been lifted yet. Things are likely to get tougher down there and Democratic

criticism will heat up there. We get the debt ceiling, which seemed as if that the only thing

guaranteed is that both parties will get bad poll numbers from that. A recent

ABC in the Washington Post poll showed Biden trailing Donald Trump, who has one Republican consultant

put it has more baggage than a loaded 747.

It's a time for Democrats to start ringing their hands about Biden again, to look at the state of all of it and oh by the way some primaries begin

this week in Kentucky so to look at the state of of where we are and our

politics right now particularly on the electoral side of things.

I'm joined today by Bridget Bowman, our deputy editor here at the NBC News Political

Unit and Nathan Gonzales, the editor and publisher of Inside Elections.

ratings for 2024.
