0:47.6	very often on the verge of victory, on the brink of blessing. Friend, don't you quit just before the
0:53.3	breakthrough. This is no time to stop.
0:57.5	We're picking up our story in the book of Ezra, right where we left off.
1:01.1	You'll remember that as the people of God started to return to the Lord, started to make some
1:05.9	progress.
1:06.6	What happened?
1:07.2	The adversaries showed up.
1:09.3	In Ezra chapter 4, the adversaries first tried to infiltrate
1:13.6	them. They tried infiltration to become one of them. Isn't that the devil's way first? Always try to
1:18.4	sneak in like he did in the garden, suddenly to become right alongside us and sow seeds of discord and
1:24.9	disunity and disobedience. And then when that didn't work, they tried intimidation.
1:29.5	The Bible says in Ezra, chapter 4, verse 4,
1:31.6	then the people of the land weakened the hands of the people of Judah
1:34.9	and troubled them in building and hired counselors against them
1:38.6	to frustrate their purpose.
