Should we just start?

Okay, far right.

Because some people go, what does that even mean?

And they think Nazis.

They think Hitler, Mussolini.

And I guess critics of us on the left get, oh, we just

use far right, we band it around willy-nilly. So what are we talking about? Yeah, I mean, it's a really

important question. And to quite a few people, the term far right just conjures up images of 20th century fascism,

and people tend to think it means only those very extreme corners of politics that are openly anti-democratic.

And obviously that is part of the far right, but I think it also really should be used to describe a broader range of political movements,

all of whom engage in forms of right-wing nationalism, all of whom have sat outside of the traditional mainstream,

but who have got actually quite different ideas and methods within that.

The most useful way to think of it that I've found is from the political scientist

Kasmuda, who is an expert on right-wing nationalism and has been studying it for years and
