The weather here in Myrtle Beach is weird. It's about 20 degrees colder this morning than it was yesterday.

Yesterday I was at the beach. It wasn't exactly beach

weather, but it was certainly warmer than it has been. Today, the clouds have moved on.

We've got some rain yesterday. No threat of rain in the forecast. Got nothing but blue sky.

The winds are calm. But the temperature is easily 20 degrees colder than it was yesterday.

Before I get to this walking hack that literally could add thousands of steps to your daily total,

I'm going to explore a new walking path that is near our home here in Myrtle Beach.

So our neighborhood is near a couple of lakes, and a lot of these episodes are recorded as I'm walking along a paved trail next to the lake right behind our neighborhood.

There's another lake that is near our lake. It's right across the street. In fact, they're connected

because the street actually goes over top of the connecting part of the two lakes, these large

drain pipes, I mean massive drain pipes, and that connects the two lakes. So when we had the alligator

a few years ago, I saw the gator in both lakes because he or she could swim underneath the road.

Anyhow, there's a paved walking path around both lakes that they continue to add on to.

They are now expanding part of this trail, and so I'm heading to that trail.

It's under construction

saw quite a few pieces of construction equipment yesterday from a distance

and I wanted to come over and see what they've actually done how close they are to

getting this part of the trail finished. I think, not entirely sure.

I think the long-term goal is to have one big loop around both lakes.
