Turn to John chapter 20 and we're going to read this account.

The song that you just heard is as if it was being sung by Mary Magdalene and the Apostle Peter coming to the

tomb and seeing Jesus and realizing that he was risen and that nothing I've ever done before matters anymore.

And I'll never be the same again.

And I was thinking about this a few weeks ago.

I told Pastor Thomas, I said, I want that that song I've just seen Jesus and I said just

find two people who can hit the notes and they're godly you know we're only

to be godly but make sure they can hit the notes and so they did a great job but I was thinking

about it and I was thinking what were what was Peter thinking and what was Mary thinking when the first time they saw Jesus after the resurrection.

And this is the title of the message. I think they were thinking,

this changes everything.

This changes everything.

and I'm going to show you why I think it changed everything

because we're going to look at Peter's life a little bit.

We're going to look at Mary's, their background,

and then we're going to look at one other disciples background and I think

you'll be able to relate to every background that we look at because I know I can.

Now before we read John 20 let me just give you a little background on John.

The book of John obviously was written by the disciple or the apostle John, but he refers to himself in kind of a different way as he writes about himself.

He refers to himself as the other disciple.

Now I believe fully in the inspiration of the scriptures, the inerancy and the infallibility of the scriptures.

But I do know that the scriptures, even though they were inspired by the Holy Spirit, came through
