Three minutes after 10, it's Thursday.

I mentioned that to remind myself more than to remind you, because it feels a bit like Friday.

I break up today just for a long weekend, and I suspect a lot of other people will be doing as well.

Don't at me if you're not.

I completely understand the difference between being off tomorrow and not being off tomorrow.

But it means we're doing mystery out, but also pushing forward to this week's, I mean, Hollywood-tastic, full disclosure, one of the most

enjoyable interviews I've ever done, with someone who doesn't do many interviews, certainly

not hour-long, sit-down, relatively in-depth interviews.

poignant occurred to me on the way downstairs just then. There's a story in the news today about the number of families opting for what we have to somewhat infelicitously call cut-price funerals. And we first started talking about this, not long after I lost my dad, which is a long time ago now, 12 years. I really miss

him today, by the way. These newspaper articles keep popping up calling me a member of the new

liberal elite that is secretly controlling the national conversation. Some no marks written a book

claiming that the country is not secretly run by, you know, government that have been Tory for 13 years

or that the national conversation isn't influenced by newspapers owned by plutocrat, billionaires,

Rupert Murdoch, Viscount Rothermeir, the Barclay family.

No, no, no, no, no, no.
