Moved here to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, 500 miles south of Maryland.

The weather is warmer here.

The winters can still be cold, but they're not as cold.

And we're not the only ones who moved south.

In fact, most people in our community did not grow up here. They moved here.

Many retired and moved here to Myrtle Beach. Many like me are working remotely and didn't need to

stay in colder climates, so they moved south.

But even though the winters are milder than what we're used to in Maryland or New Jersey or Pennsylvania or New York or Massachusetts,

it's funny how many folks still head inside in the winter and we just don't see them much but now that the weather

is warming up more people are out they are walking they're walking through our neighborhood I see them

in the center of town walking I see more people out running and and cycling, taking advantage of the weather.

My guess is, my guess is that number is going to decrease as we get into summer and into

the hot sticky part of July and August. Sometimes it almost looks like winter around here in terms of how many people

are out. Or what happens is they head out really early in the morning before the sun comes up.

It can still be hot and sticky, even before sunrise, but they're going to beat the worst of the heat.

Anyhow, I'm out early and it's just me.

Although I did hear, I don't know whether they were birds or tree frogs, maybe five, ten minutes ago. And it was kind of loud. It was like, what is that?
