The importance guidance there was to remember that other managers may not think in terms of behavior, whereas if you're going to give feedback,

you have to know what the behavior was, right?

Yeah, yeah, exactly.

But we left something out there that we get asked a lot, and that is, how do I know whether or not to give the feedback and what do I do

if my directs say I'm wrong now you got a memoir that's a really good question yeah in

fact I felt like I had already answered that in the previous cast, but somebody pointed out,

you know, you really just talked about how to take notes and how to distinguish behavior from just the comments that most managers make.

And so I said, oh, okay.

And we were at a conference.

It was two or three, three or four years ago.

And I said, oh, sure, it's fine.

We do that, here's what you do.

Dada da da da da da da da.

And it was one of those moments where I just took for granted,

because I've said many of these things,

so many times, so many different managers and executives.

I just thought, yeah, I've shared that before in a podcast. Well, I hadn't put before in a podcast.

Well, I hadn't put it in a podcast.

We hadn't talked about it on air.

And it was a funny moment.

We're in front of like, I don't know, 75, 100 people at a conference.
