So we're gonna this is this is part three of impressions. If you haven't listened to part one of impressions that was episode 498 and then 499 was normal and then last Thursday there was episode two of impressions. We are only going to talk up to credit role. I know there is a post game to this. I know that technically the real ending, which I I dislike when games do that. The real ending is in post game because

we we know factually just by looking at like PlayStation trophies. Not a lot of people beat games. When people beat games, they when they get credits, they move on to the next game. So like hiding the real ending behind credits is always in not to me not the best tactic.

I'm gonna get into it because we're going to define terms because I'm already getting frustrated. What which part of frustrated like frustrated at Steve or frustrated at the game. It is. Yeah, always frustrated me. I'm frustrated at everybody. So we've got the full range. Okay. Let's talk about the story. Okay. So this is where we're going to first get into our frustration point. Yes. I'm going to before before I even dive into my thoughts on the story.

I want to say that I love this game. I still think it's a worth the $60. I also want to I also want to say that I think out of all the Pokemon games. X and Y has one of the worst stories.

But I will say that X and Y is one of my favorite Pokemon games hands down love X and Y. Okay, this is this is going to be okay. I need to set ground rules right now because this makes me bonkers every time.

So we need to define what we mean by story because for most people story means everything that's presented in the game. For example, if I'm reading Lord of the Rings, I don't discount two thirds of Lord of the Rings is not being part of the story is that's not directly involved with the A plot line of a hobbit walking to a volcano to get his finger bit off.

So when we talk about X and Y or this game having a bad story, I think we need to be specific that the plot line the main A plot line.

The thing that you have to do is weak, but the story which is everything they present in this game is actually quite amazing.

I can see complaints about the main plot line plot line A is very tropey, although it touches on some very incredible topics and I disagree that the real ending which I haven't gotten to is post game because the plot line in the themes that they want to explore do finish at credits.

I agree. Yes, my point is the plot. I do think the lore in the world and even the characteristics of I like I think the Wampell thing was fantastic. I loved every single interaction with.

When we say things about story, I think people think that every it sounds like everything that the game presents is bad and I think we need to be specific that the main plot line is a is a very tropey thing.

Although I have to commend them for attempting to tackle a very big two really big themes into big subjects and they do I think rely way too heavily on tropes to tell that story, but it also gives them again.

My complaint one of my complaints about this game is they were very timid and a lot of things that they did and one of the another aspect of where they were timid is how much they rely on standard tropes to do shortcuts in the storytelling of the main plot line.

I would say that they they lent very hard into keeping in all ages accessible.

Yes, storyline when they probably didn't have to.

I feel like I can sum up my feelings of the plot pretty well. I loved the intro. I loved like falling through a wormhole from you're obviously from the future.
