We'll take a little diversion into Jacobs Trailer Park. We'll talk about They Will Kill You and present interviews with the director, producers, and cast of that movie. And then I'll talk a bit about Mike and Nick and Nick and Alice and present an interview with writer director Ben David Grabinski.

My name is Ben Pearson. I'm an editor at slashfilm.com. And let's kick things off with a few casting stories.

A report came out last week that Ryan Gosling is going to be teaming up with Daniels to star in their next movie, which will be the first film they'll direct since everything everywhere all at once.

Nobody knows what that's about or even what genre it's supposed to be in, but that is supposed to start shooting this summer.

So I'm very excited about that collaboration.

Adam Sandler has a new Netflix movie lined up, but this one does not sound like one of his goofball comedies.

It's called Time Out, and it's a remake

of a French film that I will not try to butcher the pronunciation here, but it's about a guy who is

fired from his job, but he can't bring himself to tell his family about it. So instead, he spends a

web of elaborate lies to hide the truth, and things end up escalating when he cooks up an investment

scheme and asks his friends to contribute to it. Sandler is starring in this and it has a pretty

solid supporting cast including Gabby Hoffman, Willem Defoe, Steve Zahn, and F. Murray Abraham,

Scott Cooper, who most recently wrote and directed Springsteen,

Deliver Me from Nowhere, and the pale blue eye before that is writing and directing this movie.

I'm mixed to negative about him as a filmmaker, so I don't have a ton of faith in this one at this stage,

but you never know. I'm always hoping to be surprised.

We've known for a little while that Daniel Deadweiler is going to be starring in the new version of the X-Files that Ryan Coogler is overseeing.

He is writing and directing the pilot, and I think he's going to be on board as an executive producer after that.

But now we know that Hamesh Patel will be co-starring as the other FBI agent alongside

Deadweiler, which is pretty cool. I like both of them as actors and the two of them actually

worked together on the Station 11 TV show several years ago, so it should be a nice reunion
