We're back. It's the Deadcast. I'm David Roth. That is Tim Marchman, and seated directly to my left, as you can clearly see, listening to the podcast, is the newest member of the Deadspin family, Luis Pius Poumar. He's going to be allowed to speak later. But first,

before he says anything, you should know that there's going to be a decent amount of New England

Patriots chat in the first section of this podcast. If that's something that for medical reasons,

for personal reasons or for reasons of self-care you don't want to listen to,

skip ahead to the second segment.

Yeah, I definitely advise no one should listen to this, especially because we've been wanting to have Luis on.

This is his first appearance on the deadcast, and as the newest member of the staff,

it's going to be great for him to meet the public.

But this is such an important week for him to meet the public because we learned something very disturbing, bewildering. Beyond the Patriots shit, too.

Yeah, yeah. There's a lot of disturbing shit. But as the New England Patriots mounted possibly

the most offensive and gutting comeback in their long history of offensive gutting comebacks

this past weekend the usual small pro-patriots contingent at the site was joined by louise

vocally vigorously uh disgustingly yeah i will i will say i don't think that was the most offensive comeback.

I don't think you'll ever top the Super Bowl one.

However, we're already doing it.

We're doing it. We're getting there.

That's great.

But this is the most recent one, and that's why I'm willing to say that it burns. There's been

no time to recover. I think this was the one that maybe most made people realize that, like,

man, this shit has been going on for so long. Like, oh, this one. This one is the one that

made people realize that. Maybe to, you know, a point that, like, it's been going on for so long and you just kind of

accepted it for a while, but now it's like, okay, they're making three straight, like, what is happening here? Who accepted it? I haven't accepted it. Roth hasn't accepted it. I certainly have not. As far as I'm concerned, the game hasn't been played yet. I just think, you know, I said this on Sunday, and I think this maybe is what got me kicked out of the slack, is that nothing unites everyone else except, like, a Patriots mounting a comeback. Like, that, I never get yelled at as much as I do in those, like, you know, 10, 15 minutes when you're like, oh, this is happening again, isn't it? Is this happened to you in your, like, sort of secular life, or is it just a work thing?
