Morning everybody, welcome along to your free podcast. Thursday, Thursday, and yet more bad news, I'm afraid, because in the light of Dale, leaving us, now it's been announced by Scott, her husband, Dame Barbara. Everybody calls her bar. I've never heard anybody call her babbs, but a lot of the paper keep calling her babes. It's always been bar as far as I'm concerned. She's suffering from Alzheimer's. She's been out of the limelight for a little while. She goes out. Don't get me wrong. She's going out and she's in the best possible hands. She's getting the best possible help. And with a husband like Scott, I don't think you need to worry about it. He's always been there for her, always, 190%. And he knows that. The only reason I say that is a very good chance he'll be listening to this program now because he used to contact me

on a fairly regular basis. He'd just say we're listening or, you know, nice to hear you

lovely man and all that kind of stuff and it was lovely. So, you know, she couldn't be in better

hands, you know, with somebody who's as caring as he is, that's the best news. But I mean,

1:07.7

really sad, really, really sad news. And when she was told, she apparently

1:12.9

wept and said, I'm so sorry when the medics broke the news. Don't worry. Don't worry, people,

1:18.6

you know, it's not going to be an easy time for Scott, but I think he's got enough friends around

1:23.3

him to help him through it. And so we send all our love and best wishes and hope that they get

1:30.3

through. There's no end result to this, I have to tell you. It doesn't all of a sudden get better.

1:36.3

What you learn to do is you learn to cope as best you can. It's going to put a lot of strain on him,

1:40.3

as he probably knows, and he's had it up until now. But if anybody can do it, he can.

Other stories, Elton John warns Ed Sheeran. His fame won't last forever and confesses he

1:51.9

sick of hearing his songs. What is the matter with Queen Elton? What is going on? All of a sudden,

1:56.0

he didn't like reality stars, but I mean, that you can understand. And now he doesn't like Ed Sheeran, who's generating

2:00.8

28 million a year. That's what Ed Shearhan turns over. I mean, obviously it doesn't last

2:06.6

forever, but it doesn't matter. Ed Shearren is probably a lot happier in himself than

2:11.9

misery guts Elton, or as we prefer to call him round here, Queen Reg. You know, I don't think,

2:17.1

it doesn't matter. Listen, I mean, I can say to, and round here, Queen Reg. You know, I don't think it doesn't matter.

2:18.1

Listen, I mean, I can say to, and I have done, to all the reality show people who feature on my programme, it's not going to last, but nobody tells them this.

2:26.8

It's going to come as a nice big surprise when all of a sudden the work dries up because there's too many of these people and we're not interested in their love

2:34.7

lives. We're not interested in their talentless goings on. So I'm with Elton on that one. And once it
