Hello and welcome to this week's episode of what most people think and I'm finally back from my many travels.

I've got a bit of time at home and there are dogs to be walked. There are sons to be taken to school and I took my son to school this morning. And I always have this thing in the playground when I do that is I just want to get grab all the mums around and say, I have work, okay? I am in meaningful, gainful employment. I'm not some fucking loser. Okay.

And somebody who I know has been in gainful employment for many years now is my guest today. Scott Capiro, welcome back to the show, Scott. Thanks, Jeff. How are you? I'm good, good. You still gay? I just wanted to check on that. Pretty much, all of me. I'm not a fan of rainbow crosswalks, but other than that, I embrace the community every chance I get. Do you test your gayness every so often? Just sort of like do an online thing. Are there questionnaires? Yeah. You know, I'll have like, you know, a nutmeg latte at Starbucks. Or I'll try out a six-star hotel when we're on the road just to see if I'm still worthy. It's not. I do similar things with straightness. It mainly involves having Gregs every day and I pass. All right. I pass with flying colors every single day. And mate, we are on like, I did a breaking news episode of this last Thursday. And back then, it was still phase two of the Labor government. You know, Angela Raina was still in post, and a hell of a lot has happened since then. So we're going to be talking about the reign of resignation, the reshuffle, Lammy becoming deputy PM, Cooper, in fact, Cooper to a foreign secretary. The start of a deputy leader race, Emily Thornbury, no less, throwing her hat in the ring. I mean, we won't get too much into it right now, but I don't know if you're aware. She's her start of her campaign to be the new deputy leader for Labor. She did a tweet of a video of her talking, and she turned the replies off. But the main point she was making the video is that Labor need to listen more. And she said the replies.

And we had the Reform Conference as well.

So a lot of you will have seen Andrea Jenkins singing.

So we'll assess her singing performance, but also the conference itself.

They also had doctors on stage saying things that were, you know, going to get headlines about the COVID vaccine. And then in the Patreon only, the March coming up this weekend, organized by Tommy Robinson under the banner. Unite the Kingdom is happening. There's a countermarch on the same day. And we're going to ask in the Patreon only, what's happening there? There's not a lot of talk about it in the mainstream media. Is it all going to kick off? Okay, new patriot, Scott. So you remember, we take people's names and we just insult them based on their names. So let's crack on. Simon Compton is a VIP. So Simon Compton, that's about as English a name as you can get, isn't it? Remind me who that is again? So he's just a guy that I have a Patreon thing, so people get the podcast early ad free. And he follows you and likes you. Well, don't sound like that. You know what I mean? He might like that. Well, you brought up the gay thing. Yeah, well, a little bit. Yeah, you used to have a look.

Anyway, it sounds like he lives on a boat on Regent's Canal and wears a vest. A vest. But you know what? He's got a lot of time on his hands and you're his filler. That's sweet, right? In a way. I'm your filler. friendships. I mean, it's hard at our age to make friends, isn't it? It is, right? Like you said

in the schoolyard, when you go pick up the kids or drop them off, the mom stare at you, like, are you just out of work or a pito? They don't know. And it's hard for you to have a chat because you're creepy anyway because you're a comic. So it's hard for us. You go to Greg's and you look at people looking for a joke. I know what you're doing

there. You're looking for gags. I know. I do the same thing. Right. Yeah. And they know that you're looking, with that look on your face right now, a half raised eyebrow, like that's the constant look on your face. And they know that you're about to either, you know, drop a gag at their expense or use one later. That's what I do. I go from Greggs to Weatherspoons. It's all, I mean, the good news is I respect their menu choices. But equally, yes, you're right. There's plenty of human material there. But Simon Compton is very welcome as a VIP. I bet he doesn't do Greggs. Or I reckon he goes to, I reckon he's one of the few people left in Britain that can still afford a preet bacon roll and a coffee coming in at £7.20. I name and shame them whenever I can. That's terrible. He shops online at Waitrose too. But on the Mondays when the stuff is cheaper. But I'm sure he probably does. Yeah, but he doesn't tell people that at the dinner parties, does he? We got Fay Council. Fay Council. It's always nice to see a lady patron, you know, getting around in, Fay Council.

That's unusual.

I've never heard the word council as a surname.

Yeah, it sounds like a working class stripper.

Maybe, maybe, it's one of those names where you're born to the job.

Like, I was just reading about a pilot whose last name was Bird. And he was being interviewed on the Australian press about an issue with the plane. His last name was Bird. I'm like, you have to be a pilot. You have no choice. That's what you are. The great thing is if he'd been terrified of flying.

And then that could have been, you know, Alanis Morissette's song,

ironic, when nothing in it was actually ironic,

that's where she should have been looking.
