What most impulse?

Hello and welcome. I could have done an episode and not always for things that day and not always for things that you want to talk about really. I mean,

you know, this week there has been the kind of things that you could make jokes about,

like Peter Mandelson, getting sacked again. Dear, oh dear. Is it just one of those

perma features of British public life, like talking about the weather,

like saying sorry when we're not in the wrong, that Peter Madison would just every so often be rehired and fired.

There's also a deputy labour leadership race.

I think race sort of implies something far more kinetic and interesting than what's really going on there.

So we'll do a little bit on that.

But as many of you will know, there's also the shooting of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk

in America.

And, you know, it's just a, I know it's in the States and stuff.

I just think it warrants comment in a week where, you know, it's felt like a hot take to say maybe shooting people that you disagree with isn't the answer. So we will get to that. But a little bit, you know, we'll start off with something a bit more lighthearted and I do have some good news. As you'll know, my long-running Traveloge saga over the years, certainly the last three years stayed in them a lot. Probably if I stopped staying them, I wouldn't want to say that it would affect the share price, but you know, I sleep well in traveloges. I always sleep well in the travel. It's mental well I sleep here. But I big them up and then I just got to a point where it gone on so long without anything coming back the other way that I bought it to a head on my social media channels and I called them out

you know I called them out and I said if something doesn't change in this relationship I'm going

to start big enough premier in okay it's not just Lenny Henry I'm going to say things and I

last night I checked into the travel lodge in London Central Bank and and I don't know, they just heeded my call. Somebody heard something happened. The travel lodge fairies, if they're a thing. There'd be budget fairies, let's be honest. But good value fairies. And suddenly they're like, oh, you're Mr. Norcott. Mr. Norcott, they called me. That's what I'm talking about. They said, you've been upgraded to a super

room. Now, I don't know if you're, you know, familiar with the travelogic game, but super room.

We're talking more floor space. We're talking not one, but two kick hats, which I so quickly,

I was happy I felt sick, and a Lavatza coffee machine.

So I just, you know, in this life, we all plug away.

I think what on a day in, day out basis, what all of us is just want is validation.

We want to know that someone sees us.
