and more Americans are starting to feel the very real impact of both the shutdown and the issue

at the center of it, Obamacare subsidies. Many people are already seeing the higher premiums they are about to get hit with,

and it could get worse next week.

Meanwhile, millions of Americans who are SNAP recipients are now at risk of losing their food assistance next month.

Many states, including Texas, New York, Missouri, and New Jersey have warned

that if the shutdown is not

resolved by Monday, November payments could be disrupted or skipped entirely. And Head Start

locations that help thousands of preschoolers around the country are also warning that their

programs could be in danger if the shutdown stretches into the month of November.

Meanwhile, many federal workers are now turning to food banks.

They are turning to food banks to feed themselves and their families as the shutdown drags on. But one governor is responding.
