So this chat was actually inspired by an experience that I had on my way to Trader Joe's

0:34.5

this morning.

0:35.3

So I got up super early, 4.30, to be exact, which is like wild.

0:40.2

I just feel like, I don't know what it is, but my schedule has shifted. I think I'm just more

0:45.2

tired. Like I'm exhausting myself a little bit more during the day with exercise and running around

0:49.2

and the weather's changing. So I'm on my feet more and I'm not complaining because I love to feel

0:53.8

tired at the end of the day naturally. So I've been going to bed like 8 o'clock, like 8.30 the past few nights. Anyway, got up 4.30 this morning, had some coffee, and I was like, you know what, I'm going to go food shopping. So 8 o'clock in the morning, I was at Trader Joe's in the door, caffeinated, ready to get all my

veggies for the week. And I got a couple of things, but what I was really there for was avocados. I was having like the most insane urge to have avocado toast this morning. I've been on a kick this week. So as my grandmother would always say, whatever your body's craving is what you should be eating. So I was like, I need avocados in my life. I need avocado toast. And I'm in Trader Joe's, and I'm looking around to find a ripe avocado that I could have this morning, and you guys know how they work, like if it's just like a little split second window that your avocado is actually going to be ripe. And I couldn't find one.

1:44.8

And they were all hard as rocks. And I was so pissed. And I'm like, I guess I could get guacamole, but that's not really what I want. I don't want to spread that on my toast. Like, you know, I want an actual avocado. I like to season it myself. I put a little bit of, you know, chili lime seasoning I put a little sea salt some lemon juice and I couldn't find one so I love Trader

and I couldn't find one. So I love Trader Joe's with a bunch of other things, but I did not have my avocados. And I walk literally right out the door. Now, this is the Trader Joe's on 14th Street and 3rd Avenue in Manhattan. So it's super busy. It's Union Square. It's packed. I mean, their Trader Joe's is like a massive corporation, obviously, right? So people know the store. They come to the store. There are lines

2:23.4

out the door. And I walk outside and there is a fruit and vegetable cart directly outside of

2:29.7

Trader Joe's. And my first thought was, wow, they really have balls to be out here competing with

2:36.3

this huge corporation who's essentially selling all the same things right all the produce

2:40.6

all the fruits and veggies are right inside and they're gonna be cheaper in Trader Joe's
