Elements of being alive is the fact that we come into the world with incredible

momentum just an endless topsy-turvy history of sense and nonsense and

absurdity and brilliance and mistakes and triumphs that have led to us being

here have led to what we now consider to be normal which what is normal I

mean there is no normal I actually think I posted something to this effect a

while ago I think it was there is no normal only familiar weirdness and I

really stand by that because if you decontextualize things they're just all

fucking weird random goofy example I have memories of being a young kid

probably three or four years old and looking at furniture before I'd really

established the context for it and thinking why does that thing look that way

why does that table have little feet with claws on it why does it have lion-like

feet you know like the first time you ever have a thought like that and as you

get older it really doesn't get any better at least if you're a curious

neurotic weirdo like myself things never really make any more sense you just

get used to it in that way that I just alluded to in that there is no normal

only familiar weirdness kind of way and this doesn't just pertain to objects

the mind itself is this way the way that we make sense of the world is this
