Summary
Stage 5 with the 11 cobbled sections lived up to all the hype and has already affected the GC. The breakaway finish almost saw an American victory and potentially in yellow as well. Today was a great example of how it is a team sport and tactics can be key to victory. Returning champion, Tadej Pogacar looked impressive and Jumbo-Visma, with some bad luck today, managed to limit damages for Vingegaard and keep Van Aert in yellow.
