Hey folks, it's Ben Greenfield and today we are going to talk about breathing, breathing

during exercise and how it relates to you getting into something called the zone.

And the reason that we're going to talk about this is because I've personally been experimenting

a lot with the way that I breathe while I'm running, while I'm riding my bike, while

I'm lifting weights, while I'm sitting or standing at work, and even before I go to bed

at night.

And I've found that it's really, really affected my well-being and my performance.

And I've kind of delved into a few different books on the topic and have spoken to a few

people about what I've been doing in one athlete that I was talking to at a recent conference

as I was at, asked me if I've ever heard of this guy named John Dooyard, and I hadn't.

And this athlete directed me to a book that John wrote.

It's called Body, Mind, and Sport, the Mind, Body, Guide to Life, Long, Help, Fitness,

And this book kind of delves into what we're going to talk about today.
