And we are recording from the lovely campus of UC Santa Cruz today and it is absolutely beautiful.

It's very peaceful out here.

You'll probably hear some birds calling here and there and it's just

delightful. We're in the forest basically. Yes. Very nice. We had a couple things we wanted to say

before we start talking about what we're wearing because the self-indulgent knit along starts very

soon. Wednesday, December 21st is the solstice. So cast on day. Cast on any time after

the 21st if the solstice is a significant day for you, cast on then. You could cast on

Christmas Eve. You could cast on on Christmas. You could cast on on New Year's Day.

Or Hanukkah or whatever day you want.

Exactly.

But it does kick off on the 21st and it ends sometime in March on the Equinox.

Yes.

The March Equinox approximately March 21st.

Exactly.

So three months to knit anything that is self-indulgent.

And I think I'm going to be doing a crochet along with Alex, who is under Dutch skies for the sweater

Ariana. So if anyone is interested in crocheting that particular sweater, let us know we could have a

mini crochet along inside the make-along, which could be really fun.
