Hello and welcome to the Yarniaks podcast. This is episode number 252, which we are recording on Wednesday, August 25th, 2021. I'm Gail. And I'm Charlene. And it feels like it's been a long time. That's just because

we haven't seen each other. Yeah. Because we often get to visit occasionally if Charlene's working and

she hasn't been working. So do you work this week? I do. How exciting. That means I get to see her in

person. All right. What are you wearing? I am not wearing it now, but what I have been wearing this week is my Donner sweater.

Donner is a pullover sweater by Elizabeth Doherty and the one that I have been wearing because I have made several.

But the one I have been wearing is my gray version that is made in a, oh, let's see, what is the yarn?

It is a linen cotton blend.

That's what I thought that I just double-checked, just to be sure.

I didn't want to say the wrong thing.

So linen cotton, I made it from a yarn called Lindy Chain from knitpicks. And that yarn has

proved to be especially hardy because I have worn the sweater a lot. It has been oftentimes for months at a time the sweater that is sitting

at the foot of my bed on the chest and gets pulled on and off and on and off as it has been

for the last couple of weeks when we've had this cold, foggy morning weather.

So it's in the favorite sweater position of the bottle.

And I knit mine almost exactly five years ago.

It's been five years?

Yeah, if you can believe that.

I completed it in August of

2016. Wow. And it's as I mentioned, it's a positive ease pull over sweater that's

knit from the top down and it has a textured striping scheme

across the entire sweater, which is probably my favorite type of thing on a sweater.
