Hello and welcome to the Yarniaks podcast.

I'm Gail.

And I'm Charlene.

And we're doing things a wee bit differently today.

We would like to honor and celebrate other podcasters who have inspired us and whom we have listened to over many, many years.

And many of whom have become our friends over the years. That's true.

And we're starting with our one and only non-knitting podcast.

This is from the History Chicks podcast, which I highly recommend.

And every episode, they do a 30-second summary in the beginning to drop the featured famous

woman into history. So two women become friends and talk about knitting all the time.

One moves to France and they talk about knitting every day via email and ravelry.

One introduces the others to podcasts.

When they're reunited, their love of knitting only grows until they realize their daily chats are much like their beloved podcasts.

And thus, the Yarniaks podcast was born.
