Hello and welcome to the Yarniaks, episode 16. I'm Gail. And I'm Charlene. And we are recording on Monday, August 6th. So it has been about almost exactly a month since we last recorded, right, Charlene?

Yeah. And in my time zone, it is just after 8 a.m.

And here in France, it is just after 5 p.m. So we are nine hours ahead, or I'm nine hours ahead of

Charlene in California.

And that kind of is a little segue into, yes, I am on vacation.

I am in France in a little tiny town called Guzig.

My family and I lived here from July of 2008 to July of 2010, and we've been saving our money on our frequent flyer miles for the last two years

so we could come back this summer for a vacation to see all of our friends. So we're having a fabulous

time, minus one broken bone, and it's just been a great trip. So now I get to chat with

Charlene. I'm so excited. We've been emails,

but we haven't spoken in over like a month. Yeah. So, well, has it been? Yeah, I guess so. I've

since you left. Yeah. So I guess almost a month. I think it's exactly a month because we recorded on

July, it was a Monday, July 5th. So it's one calendar

day longer, but it was a Monday. Oh, okay. Okay. So what are you wearing? Well, I didn't plan

this very well. I'm actually not wearing any knitted items, and I have to say, pardon the bell.

Oh, and now pardon the garbage truck that's going by outside.

Yeah, it might be a little loud today.

We're recording via Skype, and that is Charlene's Bird, Nani, in the background.

And here in the background, in my little village, you will hear wind rustling through the trees.

You would smell cigarette smoke if we had smell a vision. And it's France, lots of smokers. And you

might even hear cars and things like that going by. So I apologize for any ambient noise on my end as well.
