Welcome to the Bronx Pinstripe Show.

Two, three weeks ago, I did not think that on September 7th, which is the

official start of the NFL season, Scott, that we would be having a little conversation

about, are the Yankees still alive for the playoffs? Because it did not look like that was going

to be the case. However, that said,

however, we did the exercise in the last episode where we went through like everything that needs

to happen and I don't know about you. I was saying it in jest like because I just don't think it's

but since then, Yankees have kept winning and other teams ahead of them have continued to lose.

It is still very much a long shot for the Yankees to make the postseason.

But we were just going through it.

And as the standings say right now on September 7th, the Yankees are six and a half out of the Blue Jays of a wild card spot.

They're a game and a half back of Boston,

but effectively, there are two games back because Boston, no matter what happens in the upcoming four game series, will have the tiebreaker against you. So you have to beat them outright in order to beat Boston in the standings. And Texas, who is three and seven in their last 10 games, definitely on a skid is six games ahead of you. They're a half a game back in the Blue Jays.

But the Blue Jays, if who is three and seven in their last 10 games, definitely on a skid, is six games ahead of you.

But the Blue Jays, if we're just going to eye one team that the Yankees could possibly catch to make the playoffs, it is the Blue Jays.

Because the Blue Jays and the Yankees play six times for the remainder of the season.

So what that means is if everything outside of that series is equal,
