this is Howard Lyon, one of my good friends and illustrator of many awesome things.

He was the person we tapped for the special edition of Trust in the Emerald C. So if you have

the drag steel edition of that, you've seen Howard's art. It's done a ton of magic cards.

He's done other pieces for us. He's right now working on. I got to see the first of your pieces

for the Dog and the Dragon today. Very nice. The children's book adaptation of Dog and the

Dragon. I loved it. Oh good. So you're going to hear from what I think artists love to hear. You're

And so Howard's going to fill in today for Dan. And I'm going to interview him like I did Steve Argyle talking about how you become an artist and how he became an artist.

So first off, though, the epic beard. I've always known

you by how awesome your beard is. Well, thank you. How did the beard come about? So I was working on a

project. When I lived in Arizona, I was working on a project. I was doing a big biblical painting.

Okay. And it was a mural with like a hundred people in it. Okay. And I had a hard

time finding people with beards. And so I was like, I'm just going to grow my beard out. And then I can

have someone come and model and then I'll pose with my head kind of in the same angle. And I

shot my beard at a bunch of different lengths and used it for

that and then were you Noah or something like that yeah I was painting the sermon on the mount
