Would you go please to Luke the fourth chapter, Luke chapter four.

We've been on a topic for some weeks now that we're calling the Word of Power.

In Luke the fourth chapter, talking about Jesus,

some weeks ago we were on a different series called, you know,

faith in the power.

And we noted that Jesus had manifestations of power, not just talk, not just words only,

but his word was with power.

Manifestations of healing, deliverance, miracles, power manifestations.

And we see that the power manifested in direct connection with what he said.

His words were connected to the release of the power when he spoke, these things happened.

In Luke the fourth chapter and the 22nd verse, it says, all bear him witness and

wondered at the gracious words that proceeded out of his mouth.

So their attention was caught by the words he was speaking.

Verse 32, verse 32, they were astonished at his doctrine, for his word was with power.

Now, astonished is a strong word.

Not just intrigued.

Not even just surprised.

They were what?

Astonished at what?

His word was with power. Said out loud his word. His word was with power.

Said out loud his word was with power.

We see just the next few verses that he rebuked a spirit that was in the synagogue there.
