Praise the Lord. Last night I started talking, I don't even know what to call this but I'm talking kind of about the authority

that God has given us as believers and how we need to understand what is God's

job and what he's supposed to do and what we're supposed to do.

And the very first step that I took last night was to counter what I call this abuse of the sovereignty of God teaching where people just think that everything

that happens it's God's will.

Nothing can happen without God ordaining it.

If you believe that, there's no reason for anything.

You might as well just go to you know

goofing off living and sin doing anything because after all nothing can happen but

what God wills it to be That is such a crazy doctrine. And anyway I spent all last night

countering that and showing you that that is not what the word of God teaches.

You know as we were worshiping the Lord today, I thought if people would just

take the relationships that we have with people, Jesus use this same logic in the 11th chapter of the book of Luke.

He says, if you being evil know how to give good gifts unto your children,

how much more will the Heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

You know, if my wife loved me so much that she gave me a cancer

because I haven't been studying the word lately and I needed to get humbled and broken down so

she gives me a cancer or she strikes one of our kids dead to teach

me something or does all of these things or destroys my house or I have a car wreck

and wind up in the hospital flat of my back.
