Hello, everybody.

Oh my gosh, I am so excited that we're here.

Thank you all so much for coming out.

I am here live from Burlington, Vermont.

I am so happy to be here just about 20 minutes from my house.

I'm Sam U.S. This is the women's game live in Vermont.

Thank you. We're here at Higher Ground, which is such an iconic Vermont venue.

Higher Ground has hosted some of my favorite artists, the National, Charlie Crockett,

the Decembrist, Bob Dylan, Noah Khan.

I want to give a little sense of what tonight is going to entail.

Tonight, in the place that I call home, we're going to revel in the strong sense of community

that Vermont is known for.

The growing soccer culture, plus some of the people who make this place special will be

joining us on stage, including renowned women's soccer journalist Meg Linnehan and key members of Vermont Greens founding group and women's team.

I know. I know. I'm so excited. I'm also going to share with you what brought me here and

what I love most about this place.

Spoiler alert, it's Maple Creamies from Little Gordo.

Not only am I a proud Vermont resident, I'm also the editor-in-chief of the women's game.
