I'm Dave Ziron.

0:15.3

We've got a great show for you this week.

0:17.5

We are going to speak to Maya Goldberg, Safer, who writes the WNBA blog, WMBA Rough

0:22.6

notes to speak about the incredibly important and historic labor agreement that just took place

0:28.6

between the WMBA union of its players and WNBA management.

0:34.6

Maya is going to break it all down and I'm so glad she's going to be here.

0:43.7

Also, I've got some choice words to tell you about my night with the mayor and Muhammad, where I sat down with Mayor Zoran Mamdani and New York Knicks player Muhammad Diawara.

1:29.1

Portland. So I think, I think we're headed for a season. At the same time, we haven't seen

1:35.1

the, you know, the terms hammered out in writing. So there are still some unknowns. We're sort of

1:41.4

relying on what they're saying about the agreement. But let's see,

1:45.5

to me, one of the biggest things is that this is a huge sort of economic leap for the entire

1:50.8

league. So we are looking at the lowest salaries in this new CBA still being higher than the

1:57.6

highest salaries in the old CBA. Wow.

2:01.6

Yep.

2:11.2

And to put some numbers on that, correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the peak salary you could get last year was $220,000.
