in what amounts to be an after-school special,

an intervention episode, if you will, we have to talk about Wizard. Wizard magazine came as

fast as it left, but boy, did it leave a mark. It came under the auspices of, we want to

celebrate comics, we want to collect comics, we want to show you how cool comics are, and then within no time at all, they were

marking your comics as downgraded, lesser value. Comics were stocks and bonds to them to be

traded. Some went up, many went down and arbitrarily decided by who, by a bunch of kids in a warehouse off the turnpike

This podcast has chronicled my journey from seven-year-old little fan pulling them off the metal squeaky spinner racks, Marvel Comics, DC Comics, a company called Atlas

Comics, which we've never covered, but it was definitely being represented when I was

seven years old and watching comics grow from where I couldn't really

find anybody to talk to comic books about because they were seen as geeky or nerdy and people

didn't want to be embarrassed to now your your your number one seated athletes your top movie stars

are either portraying or they're wearing superhero

gear, comic book gear, comic books has become pop culture. It has become the mainest of mainstream.

And it has been an absolute blast to watch. Yes, there was super friends when I was kid.

Yes, there was cartoons. But that was really the domain of Saturday

morning or after school stuff and people just would not give it the serious nature that, of course,
