One of the unique things about journalism is you get a chance to sit down and hear different perspectives

0:09.5

from people you'd never otherwise meet. Sherry Pollux, who passed away Sunday at the age of 44,

0:16.5

fits that description for me. If you found this podcast and you're not familiar with Sherry, a quick

0:21.2

overview. Diagnosed with stage three ovarian cancer at age 35, Sherry was given a 30% chance of

1:20.6

1:25.5

to be a cancer patient or even know someone with cancer

1:27.5

to appreciate the wisdom and perspective

1:29.6

that you're about to hear.

1:31.3

So quick background before we get started.
