So for today's episode, we look at an ancient emotion, fear.

Hopefully today provides you with insight into why we fear, how we fear, and how we can learn to live with and work with fear more skillfully.

Often think about how fear has kept me living in a trans.

And as my meditation practice evolves, so has my relationship to fear.

I've even given it a name and learned to befriend it.

Because I've realized resisting fear or avoiding life as a way to avoid fear only causes my fear to grow bigger and stronger.

To help paint this picture, here's a short story about Buddha and a warrior that demonstrates an uncanny way of working with our fears.

One day, a young warrior came to Lord Buddha.

The warrior bowed low to the Buddha and asked, how can I conquer fear? The Buddha looked at him and said, the only way to defeat fear is to face it.

Buddha then told the young warrior what he was supposed to do.

The day of the battle arrived and the warrior stood on one side and fear stood on the other.

The warrior felt very small while fear looked big and full of wrath.

They both had their weapons drawn and were ready to do battle.
