Greetings, dear listeners. This is Jonah Goldberg, host of the Remnant Podcast, brought you by the Dispatch and Dispatch Media. It's first timer week. We had Emily Oster on yesterday,

1:03.8

and now we have, so I should give a little backdrop. People know that I'm now at CNN after 12

1:09.3

2:06.1

center left or more expertise, that kind of thing. And so it's been good to get to know a whole

2:13.1

bunch, a new cast of Washington characters. And one of the people that I end up kibbetsing and talking to the most is Elliot Williams,

2:21.0

who's a legal analyst at CNN.

2:23.6

He was also a deputy assistant attorney general back in the Obama years.

2:29.1

He and adorably, I should say, there's a thing that happens when people have their first kid that they think everybody is fascinated with their first kid the way they are.

2:43.8

And there's a very similar thing when people write their first book.
