What's going on everyone? Welcome back to the Epic Gardening Podcast. You know what? This is a late episode. I apologize for that.

It's 8.24 PM here in Los Angeles, California, and I am hustling to get this one out to you and the reason why is because I was spent this whole weekend in Acadia National Park in Maine

Just exploring nature taking it in and you know if you've been following me on my

Instagram, which is at Epic Gardening, you've probably seen a couple shots that I've put up,

trust me, there are many more to come. But man, what a cool place. There were some ferns out there, just really cool

varieties of ferns that I'd never seen. I foraged for some wild blueberries. We saw

wild mushrooms, all sorts of interesting mosses, lichens, etc.

Growing on the birch out there. A lot of cool hikes. But anyways, I don't want to

bore you with all that. I do want to bore you though, or hopefully excite you with all that. I do want to bore you though or hopefully excite you with

bramiliads which is the topic of today's episode and it's going to be a bit of

a doozy because bramiliads as a category of plants are just massive.

There are so many of them that it's basically impossible to cover them all in an

episode as short as the ones that I like to do.

So I mean, when you've got air plants, Telansia, Guzmania, Spanish moss, and pineapples in the same family, well then it's going to be a little varied. It's going to be a little

varied, it's going to be a little crazy. And so what I'm going to do is just run through

a couple of different popular sub-families of bromeliads and then some very,

very general care guides so you can sort of dip your toes in the water, get your feet wet,

and start growing bromiliads at home.

So the first one's going to be Guzbania.

These are some of the most popular bramiliad house plants out there.

These are the ones that you're most likely going to see in a nursery

if you go there.
