Today, James joins us to talk about his and Connors first Met Gala

and everything that goes into dressing a rising star.

Well, James, welcome to the pod. I'm so excited to have you here, especially because the Met Gala was just two days ago. Are you exhausted? I am. I am. Are you flying? I'm somewhere in

between the two. I'm very tired, but also sort of like it was something to tick off the bucket list. So I'm really proud that we did it. And also just like us as a team, including like his manager, his publicist, like my assistants that I've worked with, his incredible groomer. Like we've all been doing lots of big events. I mean, it's Fashion Super Bowl. It is the biggest event.

I think this is a bigger event fashion-wise than the Oscars by Country Mile because oftentimes

folks are dressing for how will this photo look in 50 years. Like this is sort of the way that

brides don't generally take a whole lot of risks. Yeah, of course. It's like a classic event.

Whereas this is one, I feel like there's a lot more designer point of view, which is interesting and fun and we can talk about that. But also, it's not so serious. Like serious business raising money

for an amazing institution like the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Costume Institute. But I feel like it can be

more playful and inventive and interesting as well versus some of the more traditional events,

in my opinion. I think you're right, especially like when I was watching it, I was like,

oh, you really don't know what you're going to get next. You could just get a very simple outfit

or you could get something that is really a work of art.

Literally. Or you could get Madonna standing out there with five sirens.
